Tohoshinki – Kiss the Baby Sky PV

March 10, 2009

Uhh, what?

Not be be offensive (although you know I’m going to be), but Tohoshinki’s “Kiss the Baby Sky” video is extremely yawn-worthy.

There is nothing particularly wrong with gratuitous smile-shots of pretty boys, but it was really contrived and boring feeling after the first five seconds. The atmosphere seemed awkward and unnatural, with everyone looking all dewey-eyed into the camera.

And what was with all of the slow motion jumping, ribbon-dancing, painting, etc.? So CHEESY. The end had me laughing my head off. What was that white light supposed to mean? Maybe it was symbolic of happiness, but all I could think was that couple random died and saw the bright light at the end of a tunnel.

The “Kiss the Baby Sky” MV (or rather, “PV” because this is Japanese) is better than nothing, I guess, but I feel like someone slacked off when they put this video together.
